So, I read "Anansi Boys" recently. It was pretty fun. I hope Neil Gaiman is going to write more sons-of-gods books. "American Gods" was the tale of Shadow, the son of Odin. "Anansi Boys" deals with Fat Charlie, the son of Anansi, the trickster god.
Neil Gaiman spent a large part of the first book dealing with the problem of worship. It was a dark book, matching its subject (Odin) well.
The tone in "Anansi Boys" is very light. Even in the most violent places the book is largely comic... almost Terry-Pratchet comic.
But enough rambling. I am currently reading "Redwall" by Brian Jacques. It's fun.
