Life with Linus
So, the Spear-Danes in years gone by... oh, sorry.
Linux is doing its job well. I have no reason to use Windows these days. Found a ZX Spectrum emulator yesterday. Haven't messed with it much. Don't have my Spectrum code book anymore. All I could manage was "Hello World" - shameful, I know. Back in the day I... well, I copied lots of programs from the book... and hooked up my tape player so I could play KungFu.
I am planning for the '80s party. Linux will play the music and vids. Hopefully. Hehe - the vids scare me a little (getting them to work, that is).

Yay!
All is well in Linux land. I've got my 10gig drive (Ubuntu) talking to
my 80gig drive (XP). Ubuntu is quite idiot friendly. I've come up to no
obstacles yet.
Windows needed an enema. I have backed up my docs. Tonight Windows will
be reinstalled.
Ubuntu Linux
I've changed my primary OS to Ubuntu Linux. So far, so good.
I'll let you know when Linux eats my computer.

It's an '80s Party... who could ask for more?
So, I'm in charge of the music for the ConC '80s party (29 April). I have collected over 7 hours of playable awesomeness. About 5 hours of that is music I know pretty well, but I've rediscovered many jewells. My new fav songs are: "Dead Man's Party" - Oingo Boingo, "Push it to the Limit" - Paul Engemann and "One Night in Bangkok" - Murray Head.
Anyway, this party will include dancing and dressing up in the most awesome ways possible.

Mail & Guardian Online: Zuma told not to refer to 'sex'
Zuma told not to refer to 'sex' Jacob Zuma was told by a lawyer not to say in a statement to police he had sex with the woman who accuses him of rape, the Johannesburg High Court heard on Monday. He testified that his lawyer Michael Hulley had told him instead to write in the statement "after we shared each other's company privately".Read the story online: http://www.mg.co.za/articlePage.aspx?area=/breaking_news/breaking_news__national/&articleid=268485 |

Ok, so Friday was the Murder Mystery Party at Christ on Campus. This year's theme was '50s HORROR MOVIE. There were mutants, aliens, rednecks and zombies. Who could ask for more? Not me!
Well, after that there was a surprise party for me, which was pretty cool. I've never had a surprise birthday party. I've had a couple surprise going-away parties, but that's different.
Anyway, thanks everyone! It was a really fun night!
