After lots of waiting around I finally decided that a restaurant might be the place to look. I went to a Popeyes Chicken and Biscuits near our place in West Little Rock.
After a long walk in the cold and some more waiting, I got hired and entered into the MANAGEMENT PROGRAMME. My training is going down in North Little Rock next to the Alltel Arena.
So far I've worked 2 days for a total of 26 hours (pulled a double shift on Thursday). Yesterday was my day off and I'm back in today.
Mostly, it seems like I will have no time or anything ever again.
Thank you for choosing Popeyes,
Carl

Our stay in Cape Town was wonderful.
Between spending Christmas with my family for the first time in 5 years and getting to see some of my favourite sites... well, it was all pretty neat.
We didn't get do relax too much, I must confess. But this trip was about meeting people. When I can convince my camera to stop acting like a freak I will upload some of the few images I captured this trip.
For now, I am working (slowly) on finding a job. Today I will travel to the Hallmark store to apply there since I have not yet heard from Target or RadioShack.
The End.

I am home.
Home is Little Rock for the moment. Apart from settling and unpacking, my main focus has been looking for work. And wasting time online. Anyway, I have applied at Target and RadioShack. Let's see how those turn out.
So, how was it all? Great.
The wedding was just as it should have been. It kicked off at 10am (Central) on Saturday the 16th. Everything went quite smoothly. Our reception was brief and we did not eat much before leaving for Fayetteville to change cars and THEN to head west to Tulsa.
Tim visited for the wedding and travelled with us. We arrived in Tulsa in time for wondrous delays and ended up having to stay in the Hilton at O'Hare airport. We left for South Africa on the Sunday at 5pm (Eastern).
That Monday our SAA flight to Johannesburg was diverted due to a storm. We spent 4 hours on the ground in Durban, unable to leave the plane. After it was all done with and we finally arrived at OR Thambo Airport, SAA kindly put us up in the Sun International (United did NOT pay for our stay in the Hilton).
We checked out early on the morning of the 19th, knowing that barring a mid-air explosion, our travel problems could not get much worse.
And so it was with a full night sleep that we set out for Cape Town.
